Carla Marino

Carla focuses her practice on Domestic Law issues including the complex financial aspects of these types of matters. She began her career focusing on financial aspects of legal matters while at Georgetown University Law Center earning a Fellowship with the Committee on State Taxation (“COST”) located in Washington, D.C. pursuing her Master of Laws in Taxation. Her work with COST included preserving and promoting equitable and nondiscriminatory state taxation of multi-jurisdiction entities.

Carla then worked at Ernst & Young in the State and Local Tax Group advising clients on tax planning issues related to company reorganizations and restructurings. This was followed by her work at a Pepper Hamilton where she further refined her skills in the Tax Group handling complex financial matters and planning.

Carla is now a partner with Lamb McErlane, PC and has offices in West Chester and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Continuing with her goals of fair and reasonable results, Carla is involved in pro bono work and is affiliated with the Women’s Resource Center. She is an active member of the Collaborative Law Professionals of Southeastern Pennsylvania (“CLP”) in addition to being a member of the Montgomery County Family Law Section Collaborative Committee. These groups provide alternative resolution options in the divorce process. Within not only the collaborative groups, but as a consistent part of her representation in the domestic matters, Carla utilizes mediation techniques to address and resolve the open issues focusing on the goals and outside of litigation options. She also provides legal services for non-traditional families to resolve their domestic issues.

Carla lectures frequently for professional groups on topics related to domestic law such as the Collaborative Divorce Process, Mediation, Taxation issues, recent rule changes, and panel discussions. She was the featured speaker on Domestic Law and Mediation at Rosemont College and was an adjunct Professor there teaching Social Mediation and Dispute Resolution. Carla is a contributor for the PBA Case Notes on topics such as ERISA and Pennsylvania law for beneficiary designations and Pennsylvania’s strict standard requirements for opening adoption records.

As a family law attorney, Carla has been a compassionate advocate for her clients whether in litigation or negotiations. She is empathetic, yet efficient and clear-cut, while striving to reach her clients’ goals as they work through the many family law issues and procedures.
